Earth (Latin: Tellus) is a planet in the Milky WayGalaxy, located in the Solar System. It is the only planet that is known to support life. It is the third planet from the Sun and takes 365 days to complete an orbit around it.
From space, Earth looks like a blue planet with chunks of green spread across it. Also, it is covered by smuges of white, but only at times. This is how it derived the nickname "The Blue Planet". This is an odd nickname however, since there are much bluer planets like Neptune.
How the Earth came about is not universaly known and has probably the most amounts of theories possible. There are three main ones which are, Creation(bible), Big Bang, and a cross between Creation and the Big Bang. We do not know the exact age of the planet, but it is estimated at about 4 billion years old.
