Bachelor of science in industrial management from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie-Mellon University), bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, doctorate of science in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Flew on Apollo 14. Cumulative hours of spaceflight are more than 216. Cumulative EVA time is more than 9 hours.
