The Moon

The moon is a satelite to the earth and is probably the greatest accomplishment NASA ever made.

Mission

For centuries people dreamed of leaving the planet and once NASA accomplished that the Moon was the next goal. NASA started thinking about going to the moon during the Cold Wars, however they did win the Race to Space.

It took some time but they finally accomplished reaching the moon on mission Apollo 11. Neil Armstrong was the first man to step on the moon. This is where the quote, " This is one small step for man but one giant leap for mankind."-Neil Armstrong, originated.
